A List Of The World's Best Modern Fighter Jet Plane In 2011

A fighter jet plane is a military jet plane configured mainly for air-to-air fight with other jet plane, as contrary to a bomber, which is configured mainly to approach ground targets by firing bombs. Fighters are fast, small and maneuverable. Several fighters have secondary ground-attack abilities, and a few are dual-rolled as fighter-bombers; the term "fighter" is also sometimes used conversationally for devoted ground-attack aircraft. Fighter jet planes are the basic means by which armed forces acquire air superiority over their opponents in combat.

Modern Fighter Jet Planes:
Modern fighter jet planes are predominantly powered by one or two turbojet engines, and are furnished with radar as the basic technique of target acquisition. Armament consists primarily of air-to-air missiles with cannon as backup armament (usually between 20 to 30 mm in gauge); however, they can also often employ air-to-ground missile, as well as guided and unguided bombs.

List of main fighter jet planes currently being used by several armed forces is shown below;
EF 2000 Typhoon
F-117A Night Hawk
F-15C Eagle
F-16C Falcon
F-18E Super Homet
F 22A Raptor
Harrier GR9
Mirage 2000-5
SU 27 Flanker
Tornado ADV Mk3

A List Of The World's Best Modern Fighter Jet Plane In 2011

The Lockheed Martin F-22A Raptor is fast, has a long range, and is more maneuverable than any other jet in the sky.

The World's Best Modern Fighter Jet Plane

The F-22A Raptor is a fifth generation modern fighter jet plane which employs stealth technology of fourth generation. It was earlier projected as an air superiority fighter for use against the Soviet Air Force, but is furnished for electronic warfare, signals intelligence roles and ground attack as well.

Features

First view/first kill in all surroundings- A combination of improved sensor capability, improved situational awareness and improved weapons allows first-kill chance against the threat. The F-22 owns the advanced suit of sensors that allow pilot to chase, identify, and hit the threat before it finds the F-22. Important effort is being put on cockpit figure and avionics fusion to improve the pilot's situational knowledge. Sophisticated avionic technologies provide the F-22 sensors to accumulate merge and display necessary data in the most valuable format to the pilot.

Decreased observables- Progresses in less-observable technologies allow importantly improve lethality and survivability against ground to air and air to air threats. The combination of F-22's decreased observability and supercruise emphasis the advantage of surprise in tactical surroundings.

Ultrasonic persistence- Especially in the military (non-afterburner) power, the F-22 engines create more drive than any current modern fighter engine. This feature provides the F-22 to expeditiously cruise at ultrasonic airspeeds without utilizing afterburner (supercruise). This ability greatly booms the F-22's controlling envelope in both range and speed over current modern fighters jet planes which must use afterburner to control at ultrasonic speeds.

Expanded maneuverability- The F-22 has been broadly tested, refined and designed aerodynamically on the demonstration and validation process and paired with high-maneuver capability. The advanced F-22 aerofigure and high thrust to weight allows the capacity to outmaneuver all projected and current threat aircraft.

Improved battle radius on interior fuel- To check the F-22 allows air superiority for rich-interdiction aircraft, it functions at medium and high elevation at ranges superior to modern generation air superiority aircraft.

Increased survivability and lethality- The above features provide an interactive effect that assures F-22 casualty against sophisticated air threat. The combination of supercruise drastically and reduced observability shrivels ground-to-air combat and downplays threat potentialities to occupy and hit the F-22.

Air to ground ability- The F-22 has another purpose to attack ground targets. The fighter jet will use on-board avionics for navigation and weapons delivery support and will be able to bearing 2 x 1,000 lbs Joint Direct Attack Munitions (JDAMs) inwardly.

New Computer - Old Email, or How to Back up and Transfer Your Email

If you have a brand new computer, or are thinking about buying one in the near future, one of the things that you will need to consider is how to transfer your emails from the old system to the new system.

At least once a week in my job as a help desk analyst, I am helping a customer set up Outlook Express or Outlook (there are other email clients that are used, but these two are the most popular) on their new computer. Once we are finished with the setup and they open it up to the Inbox the question is asked "where are my old emails?" The simple answer; "on your old computer". Then of course the follow up question is; "how do I get them to the new computer?"

Easy or Hard

New Computer - Old Email, or How to Back up and Transfer Your Email

The easiest way to do this is to back them up to an external hard drive or a compact disc before you make the switch to the new computer and then copy them over to the new computer in the exact same directory. The harder way is in the case of a crashed computer or the inability to access the files normally. I cover a bit of that in another article called 'Got Backups?' which you can find at my website.

Outlook Express

With Outlook Express your emails/email folders are stored on your hard drive in a directory that is buried way down deep in the Operating System. Instead of me giving you the full path to get there, it's easiest if you have Outlook Express open, click on Tools then Options.

Copy/Paste

Once you are here, click on the Maintenance tab and then click on the Store Folder button. This will pop another window with the location of your emails. Using your mouse, highlight the path and then right click and copy it.

You will then click on the Start button, then click Run, and then right click in the Open box and Paste the path. Click Ok.

This will open another window with your email files. Unless you have added other folders to your Outlook Express, the default folders will be here with a .dbx extension (Folders, Inbox, Sent Items, Deleted Items, and Drafts).

Backup

If you are going to write these files to a CD, you can burn them at this time by using your favorite burning software (providing that you have a CD burner installed in your computer).

To copy them to an external hard drive, you must now connect that device to your computer, create a folder on that drive (I usually call it Email Backups), copy the files from the old computer then paste the files into the Email Backups folder.

Import

Once you have the files copied to the CD or external drive, then you will go to the new installation of Outlook Express and import the messages. It would be nice if you could just copy them to the new OE and be done, but Microsoft doesn't like you to do it that way.

Open up OE and then click on File, Import, Messages. This will open a new window called Outlook Express Import. Choose Microsoft Outlook Express 6 then click Next. Click in the circle that says 'Import mail from an OE6 store directory'. Click OK. Then click 'Browse' and navigate to and select the directory you have saved them to. Click OK. The next window will give you a list of all of the email folders you have previously saved. Keep 'All folders' selected and click Next.

This will begin the process of importing all of your 'old' emails into your 'new' Outlook Express. Once it has finished you will have all of your old emails back! Cool, huh?

Outlook

The procedure to save and then import your emails in Outlook is similar, but different.

To start with, Outlook uses a file extension called pst, or Personal Folder File. Don't ask me why it's called that. Call Bill Gates and ask him.

Export

You will start on the old computer and with Outlook open, click on File, then 'Import and Export'. This opens the Import and Export Wizard. Choose 'Export to a file' then click Next. Choose 'Personal Folder File' here and then click Next. In the Export Personal Folders dialogue box you have your choice of what you want to do. The easiest is to keep the default choice of just the inbox, but if you want your sent items and all the other folders, choose the top item (Personal Folders) and then choose the 'Include subfolders' option and then click Next.

The next window will have a default location listed
(usually C:Documents and Settings'your computer name'Local SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftOutlookbackup.pst). I would suggest following the same procedure as for OE (see above). Then click 'Finish' and let it do it's thing.
Once you have your pst files backed up, move to the new computer and the import process will again be similar to OE.

Connect your external hard drive to your computer or insert the CD into the drive.

Import

Open Outlook, click on File, then Import and Export. In the Import and Export Wizard, this time choose 'Import from another program or file' then click Next. In the 'Import a File' window, scroll down and select Personal Folder File (.pst) and then click Next.

In the 'Import Personal Folders' window, click the Browse button and navigate out to the location of your backed up pst file, choose it and then click Next. Click 'Finish' and it will import all of your messages.

How To Create An Image Using Symantec Ghost, Ghostcast Server?

If you want to create an image of your hard disk it can be done in several ways. A way to do this is to boot the computer from a Symantec Ghost floppy disk and to create the image by multicasting, unicasting, disk to disk or peer to peer.

So if you want to create an image the first thing you have to do is to create a Symantec Ghost boot disk. This boot disk doesn't boot to Windows but boots the Symantec Ghost utility in DOS.

How to create an image using GhostCast server?

How To Create An Image Using Symantec Ghost, Ghostcast Server?

GhostCast server is a utility of the Symantec Ghost software. Using GhostCast server you can create images of computers in the network or you can restore an image to several connected clients at the same time. The only thing you have to do is to boot all the clients with a Symantec Ghost boot disk, then you accept all the connected clients in the GhostCast server utility and then you simply send the image to all connected clients.

First you have to make sure that the computer of which you want to create an image of, is connected to the network. Of course the GhostCast server computer has to be connected as well.

Boot the client from the Symantec Ghost boot disk.

Now return to your GhostCast server computer and start the GhostCast server utility by clicking Start -> Programs -> Symantec Ghost -> GhostCast server.

Here you have to enter a session name in the Session Name box.

Then you enable the 'Create Image' option to create an image from the clients.

Then you click the 'Browse' button to browse for a place where the image must be stored.

If you want to create an image of the entire hard disk of the client you select the 'Disk' option. Do you want to create an image of a particular partition you select the 'Partition' option. (In this example I describe how to create an image of a disk).

Then you click the 'Accept Clients' button.

Now GhostCast server waits for the clients to connect.

You can see that there are no clients connected until now.

Now you go to the client which is booted in Symantec Ghost and you click (or by keyboard) 'GhostCast' -> 'Unicast'.

You enter the session name exactly the same as given in GhostCast Server.

Leave the option 'Discovery Method' to 'Automatic' and click 'Ok'.

The next thing you do is, you select the drive of which an image must be made of.
and click 'Ok'.

Here you can choose if the image must be compressed to safe disk space. The options are 'No', 'Fast' or 'High' compression.

I recommend you choose 'Fast' compression.

The next thing you need to do is to confirm the image creation by clicking 'Yes'.

Now Symantec Ghost is waiting for you to click the 'Send' button in GhostCast Server.

So, return to the GhostCast Server computer and click the 'Send' button.

After you clicked 'Send' the image will be created and stored at the location you chose in GhostCast Server.

You can see the details in GhostCast Server.

After the GhostCast progress is 100 % your image is created and you can close GhostCast Server.

You have successful created your Ghost image using GhostCast Server!!

In this article, we will present to you working solutions of SD card data recovery and potential problems which might have caused you to lose your files, you will surely have your files or photos resurrected after reading this.

Because of the improvement in flash memory card technology of late, this is not really a complicated problem. Flash memory cards are becoming more and more popular everyday because of how small and easy to transport they are, but they still have the tendency, like any other memory-storing device, to lose files. SD cards are also one of the most popular forms of memory cards today because they are so easy to handle and so widely used. They are widely known as the most common memory card.

Here is a proven way on how to recover SD Card files and pictures:

SD Card Data Recovery - How to Recover SD Card Files and Pictures

- There are software programs you can easily download from Interne which allows you to recover deleted files. In this program, you will simply run a scan which allows you to find your missing files. Once you are done with the scan, check to see that your files were restored and there you go, you have your files back.

In order to actually perform the tasks outline with the programs we mentioned above, however, you will need to make sure you have a card reader that your computer can use. Many newer laptops have these built in, but if you are using an older laptop you can also buy a hand-held memory card reader.

Now we will give some valuable advice for using your memory card. If you happen to get into the predicament of losing files or pictures from your SD card, then make sure not to take any new photos or put any new files onto it before getting your lost files restored. This is essential so that your files are not overwritten. Some simple tips to avoid this happening though are to simply be more careful with your SD card. Not only that, but just be absolutely sure that your files or photos are either on your computer or memory card before deleting them from either one.

No matter the degree of your problem with your SD card, you should easily be able to find a solution after following the steps we have outlined in this article.

Here's How to Burn Wii Games on a Blank Disc - An Easy Way to Make Backups!

How to Burn Wii Games on a blank disc

If you're lucky enough to own a Nintendo Wii, you might have wondered if it's possible to burn wii games on your computer. This question has been raised many times so we thought we would share with you how it can be done.

If you want to copy a Wii game, you can't do it using your ordinary computer software. This is because ordinary software can't read game discs. It might sound funny, but your computer just can't make sense of the data on the disc at first. You will need special software for this function.

Here's How to Burn Wii Games on a Blank Disc - An Easy Way to Make Backups!

Thankfully, there are now companies that have developed specific game copying software that makes it possible for your computer to "make sense" of what is on the disc. This makes it possible to burn Wii games with your computer and burner.

An important note - Software companies who develop these kinds of programs intended it for legal production of Wii games. If you purchase a Wii game and you want to copy it for backup purposes only, you can legally use this software. This article isn't promoting any illegal production of games.

How do you use the software?

The software works in a simple way; it is like burning a music CD. As soon as you install the program, it will start to work automatically. You just need to open it up when you want to backup a game.

You will simply insert the game in your disc drive and your computer system will create a disc "image". When you put in a blank CD, the system will automatically copy the game to the CD.

When you purchase a software program like this, make sure that you get a moneyback guarantee. This just gives you a little piece of mind on the offchance the program doesn't work on your computer.

Also, don't pay too much! That might sound obvious - you are obviously looking for the best deal. However, we have seen some programs cost over - this is way too expensive. You can find a program that lets you burn Wii games for less than quite easily.

Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) Port Forwarding

One thing that I love about all news windows products is the remote desktop features. I previously used PCAnywhere but I find that remote desktop is now almost as good, would like to see a file transfer like PCAnywhere has, but remote desktop is free so that is a plus for it.

One of the tasks that I face with my network setup is forwarding ports through my router. There are two issues that I came across when dealing with the RDP forwarding. The first was what is the port number of RDP. With a quick search on Google I found that the standard RDP port is 3389.

Now that you have the port number you can simply go into your router and forward that port through and after enabling your remote desktop feature it will work from outside your network as long as you either know your IP address or have a dynamic dns service like I use. To enable remote desktop in Windows XP and Windows 2003 go to the start menu, find the my computer icon and right click on it. Select the properties option in the drop down list and then click on the remote tag in the window that appears. There you will see the two check boxes, check the second box, and then click on the remote user button. Make sure that the users you want to have access are in the list and then click OK until you have exitted all of the windows. RDP is now enabled on your machine.

Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) Port Forwarding

So this simple setup would have worked for my network but the issue then became I have several servers that I want access to along with my desktop. Now I could just remote to my desktop and then remote to the other machines from there since they are all on the local network. This would create a lot of data that needed to be transferred though, with limited upstream speeds on your broadband connection you don't want this, and will cause performance issues with RDP. So I had two options, I could change the registry entry like was stated in the article. I will paste that fix here just in case that page has an issue at some point:

*****
WARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.

You can use the Remote Desktop feature in Windows XP Professional to connect to your computer from another, remote computer. WARNING: The Remote Assistance feature in Windows XP may not work properly if you change the listening port. To change the port that Remote Desktop listens on:

Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe).

Locate the following key in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetControlTerminalServerWinStationsRDP-TcpPortNumber

On the Edit menu, click Modify, click Decimal, type the new port number, and then click OK.
Quit Registry Editor.

NOTE: When you try to connect to this computer by using the Remote Desktop connection, you must type the new port.

Keywords: kbhowto kbnetwork KB306759

Technology: kbrdcMac100 kbrdcsearch kbrdcWin100 kbWinXPPro kbWinXPPro64bit kbWinXPProSearch kbWinXPSearch kbZNotKeyword

*****

The other option I had was to go into my router and specify another external port number and then point that port to the 3398 on the IP address of the machine I wanted to go to. I chose this second option as it was less time consuming and did the trick for me. One appealing thing about the ability to change the port number of RDP is security. If you leave the standard port number then anyone will know to check that port to see if you have Remote Desktop enabled and potentially compromise your network. Let me know if there are any issues with the registry fix though and if there are I will just remove it from this article.

Can You Restore Data from Your Backup?

Many users don't test their backups. This is because they don't take the time or they don't know the steps to take.
This means that there is a risk that the restoration of their system will not work nor can they be sure that they are able to retrieve individual files.

You should use a backup program which gives you a full report with verification which highlights possible errors when the backup is completed.

If the backup is taken from a server, then the backup administrator should get an email backup error report.

Can You Restore Data from Your Backup?

To test the backup, try to recover some of the files from the backup.
In case the backup is spanning over several consecutive CD's, DVD's or tapes then examine some files by restoring them from the last tape or CD.

Spanning by the way, is the term used to describe backup that can't be stored on one CD or tape but has to be divided and stored on more than one.

Special consideration must be given to open databases.
Many data backup products are not able to backup open databases. If that is the case you have to look for special backup solutions.

Tragically many users who don't test their backups find that data can't be recreated from their backups.
This even despite that backups have been made and everything seems to be OK. Tapes may be bad or the setup parameters are set wrong.
This is especially true if the backup is made with Ntbackup, the standard backup utility included in Windows.

Note: In Windows XP Home edition this program is not included in the installation.

One problem with Ntbackup is that it is hard to use and it is difficult to set up a backup schedule.

There exist other alternatives to choose from. Some are expensive. Often with a multitude of functions.

These products are targeted to the high end corporate market and should be avoided by small and medium businesses.

Backup should be easy to do and the instruction easy to understand.

NTBackup doesn't gives good enough information on possible errors. It's easy to make something wrong.

If you use a tape backup as your backup media then there are several things you can do to reduce these risks and make the backup safe.

1. Make backup with verification.

Use a backup product which verifies the backup. The verification will take up extra backup time, but it is well worth doing.

2. Tapes rotation.

Use several tapes and rotate them according to a set rotation time schedule. There are several different rotation models you can use.

3. Keep the backup at a safe place.

Keep the backup in another building to protect the data from disaster such as fire or flooding. One option is that one employee keeps backups at home. The place used for storage should be fire protected and burglar proof.
The location should have a normal stable temperature and should have no humidity or electric fields.

4. Maintain your equipment.

Maintain the tape driver and keep it free from dust. Make sure that you can get service of the hardware.

5. Keep track of the expiration date.

This is something you need to watch if the tapes are in heavy use.
All tapes have a limited life time and will wear out over times.
Normally this is when the tape has been used well over 1000 times.

6. Test the backup at regular intervals.

Test the backup by restoring files as described above. As an alternative you can restore files on to a different server or computer.
